Here’s What You Should Actually Buy From Colourpop’s New Lilac Collection

The Lilac Collection is gorgeous to be sure, but what is really worth your money, and what can you pass on? Here are the products that will be the best additions to your makeup collection, that will not only give you gorgeous lilac-themed looks but will transcend beautifully into other bright-color looks and neutrals as well.

Lilac You A Lot Pressed Powder Palette

This gorgeous eyeshadow palette is what makeup dreams are made of. Testing it out made me remember how incredible Colourpop is, they are truly one of the best. Their prices may be a fraction of the higher-end products, but they not only can compete with the Bougie brands, they can also beat them. Their quality is just top-notch, and the lilac collection shadows are no exception.

They are rich and buttery. Intensely pigmented, but a dream to blend out. They layer beautifully as well. The colors are perfect together if you want a lilac or purple look, they are also beautiful with neutral shadows for when you want a gorgeous pop of color. I love the shimmers for layering over neutrals and found that all you need is a finger pat to lay the color down perfectly. (No need for cut creases or wetted brushes!). Also, the dark purples are perfect as liners!

Lilac Liners

These Creme Gel Liners are incredible. When it comes to colored liners, Colourpop gets it. They are everything a liner should be, and more. The color is intense and pigmented as heck, but still easy to apply. No eye tugging or rubbing. The consistency is buttery soft and just glides onto your eyelid, yet it has the power-staying ability of hardened cement. (Yes, we’re even talking water line!).

Once you apply it, the creme gel formula stays put and will not crease, rub off or smear until you take a makeup removing product to it that is.

The colors, Cry Baby, a soft pastel lilac shade, and No Shame, a rich, deep plum are beautiful. They look amazing with the Lilac You a Lot palette and perfectly compliment the gorgeous purple and lavender shades. They are also gorgeous additions to a more neutral shadow look. I also like using them alone with just a mascara for a quick liner and pop of fun color too.

Glitterally Obsessed Gels

If you want glitter, these babies deliver. They are one of the best body glitters I’ve ever used, and I love how incredibly versatile they are. Glitters are notorious for being tricky, they can be too sheer, too clumpy, prone to smearing off, you name it. But Colourpop blessed us with these little glitter pop wonders. They are perfect and make wearing glitter not only fun and a free-flowing creative experience but also fool-proof, and easy as well.

Whether you’re wearing them to a festival and want to really turn up the intensity of your look with glitter, or you just want to intensify your highlight or add a pop of glitter to your eyeshadow, these glitter pots are guaranteed to give you a beautiful look every time. I found they are best applied with fingertips, although you can easily use a brush too. They are also great for using with stencils for making creative shapes and patterns!
