Bumble and Bumble's Straight Blow Dry Creme is Revolutionary

this product is changing my life

When it comes to hair, I am first and foremost, Lazy. Yes, with a capital L. If there's a way to lessen the amount of time and effort that goes into doing my hair, I will find it.

I am happy to announce that I have found such a product. If you want smoother, straighter, more shiny hair, listen the hell up. It's called Straight Blow Dry by Bumble and Bumble. However, it really should be named something more tantalizing like "Magic-maker" or "Dreams come true finally" or "Your frustrations end here". Such a simple name for such a fantastical product.

Trust me when I say, this stuff is the actual work of a magician. It's just ridiculous.

So, my hair is multi-textured. I have mostly straight hair on the top layers, especially those near to my face. Then the bottom layers are a strange mix ranging from frizzy and wavy to downright coily-curls. It's genuinely bizarre.

When doing my hair, I have basically two choices to work with. Either I curl or straighten all of it. There's no air-drying. No casual "blow-dry just the roots for volume", or "embrace your natural texture" for me. If I don't discipline my whole head of hair within an inch of its life, it will stage an immediate and unrelenting attack on me. You seriously would not believe what it looks like in it's a natural state (and you never will because I have literally written into my will that if I die in my sleep or something that my hair will be done first thing, or no open casket would also work I guess). All you need to do is imagine Hermione Granger in the first films (before her magic hair-defrizz spell took place), but instead of a whole head of unruly hair, picture the top layer of hair that's near her face being pin-straight and stringy strands. Ok, now let's get away from this disconcerting visual.

As you can imagine, I've been on the hunt for a product that tames my hair with minimal effort for ages. I've tried just about every product that promises to straighten or de-frizz. Full stop. I blow through these products with what can only be described as reckless abandon. I don't even want to contemplate the money I've spent on all the various creams, sprays, mousses, oils, etc. Most of them are utter crap that only weighs the hair down. Some work well but only when you also do a full round-brush blowout. While others only work when you do the blowout in conjunction with a straightening iron or curler. Out of all the countless and seemingly infinite products I have tried that promised to straighten and de-frizz my hair, there's only been one that worked without having to round-brush or take a hot tool to it.

Bumble and Bumble's Straight Blow Dry creme gives me frizz-free, mostly straight (lightly wavy with straighter top layers) hair with just a quick blow dry aimed primarily at my roots. It takes no longer than ten-ish minutes (depending on which blow dryer I use; the Dyson sometimes dries even faster than that). It's not even meant to be used as an air-dry product, so I'm totally fine with blow-drying, plus, I need the root volume anyways.

I can't even begin to describe how much I love this product. Nothing works as well, not crazy expensive stuff, nor drugstore. It stands alone.

Final Thoughts

If you're struggling with wild hair that refuses to be tamed, seriously, for the love of all that is good, you need to try this. I mean it when I say that literally, NO other product comes close to the way it works. Nothing has made my hair smoother, straighter, shinier or more manageable and softer than this. Oh, and as if it couldn't get any better, it also smells incredible.
